lol but honestly if you think putting armstrong’s head on a stick is gunna solve anything , you are surely mistaken i just laugh in your general direction like i’ve lectured time & time again to people, the system is broken & people will ALWAYS cheat like newsflash, even in the “gold old days” people cheated; don’t romanticize that shit it totally happened our mindset as a society is broken because the ends usually justify the means until those in charge decide otherwise in a situation that would benefit them also “making an example” isn’t going to work countless other cyclists under armstrong doped, & yet THEY won’t be penalized?  just because THEY don’t have the titles & the jerseys & the foundations & the like? oh & we’ll go after barry bonds with SO MUCH fervor, but not even care about everyone else who did with equal fervor or even @ all ?  just because HE has the accolades?  just because HE’s the big man? ...

This is some real powerful stuff.  You have to watch it.  It'll open your eyes if you've never thought about life this way before.  & if it surprises you... then you probably truly needed it.  & regardless of whether you know about trans* lifestyles & rights... it'll still hit you hard. [tw: cissexism, sexual harassment, implied rape] You wanna be Peter Pan. You wanna be that fairy-dusted disaster that conquers Hook and slays pirates because that’s what strong boys do. But they gave you a dress, and a name to match, and a lot of pink stuff you’d never play with.  You loved action figures just as much as dolls (yeah, you love dolls, don’t lie).  You don’t walk like a lady though.  You flunked ballet class.  “You can’t go, it’s boys only.” “Don’t wear swimming trunks, wear a bathing suit.” “You’re too old to be a tomboy! Let’s keep up with the hockey tradition, yes?  & on a sidenote I do miss hockey.  Life is unbearable without baseball & usually hockey helps me fill in that gap & it becomes something unique for me to experience.  Because I DID start off as a baseball fan, but the past 5 years I have also acquired a taste for hockey, too.  But an offseason without both… it’s The Void times itself. But hockey.  Especially USA hockey.  USA hockey is do or die !  I did an English paper on this moment… sort of.  My paper was Soviet-US communist-capitalist tensions coming to a climax in a hockey game that functioned as a proxy war, but this photo is mainly the pure emotional climax of an event.  The US was not supposed to win.  If you’ve seen Miracle , then you know how it’s set up.  It’s the underdog of underdog teams versus the undefeated champions of forever.  No one in the US even KNEW that the team existed before the gam...

I can't keep stressing that I am a very visual photo person.  & the following interests me not only as a photo person, but also as a sports person.  I'm not sure this always gets across on this particular blog, but I am a huge sports fan.   & I’m a huge fan of sports photography.  My mom keeps prodding me that I should just do that... but I want to keep my horizons open to ALL types of photojournalism, not just the documenting of sports events or even special photoshoots on sports events.  I, like the greedy person that I am, want to do everything.  I am very unrealistic. If you didn’t already know, this blog exists because of my Gallery Techniques class.  Mencher was particularly set on having us blog – which I really don’t have a problem with .  Altho it does take away from my tumblr time .  But I’ve been having fun making a plethora of posts for the most part.
